Cognitive Biases
13/2/19
These are systematic errors in rationalising and thinking that affect humans and which may influence the way they interrupt the world around them. For example: "I have only ever met female dogs, therefore all dogs are girls" (a somewhat simplistic example), or the pattern of looking for evidence that confirms what we already think or suspect.
There are many different forms of cognitive bias, each with their own different types of brain responses and reasoning going on. We'll tell you about some more of them over the rest of the year, as well as delving into some of the others in a bit more detail.
