Simon Singh
2/3/19
Simon Singh is a popular science author and broadcaster who we've had the pleasure of welcoming multiple times at Edinburgh Skeptics. He wrote an article for The Guardian in 2010 about chiropractory practice which prompted the British Chiropractic Association to sue him for libel, which he successfully defended. As a result we can legally say the BCA "promoted bogus treatments".
Simon went on to start The Good Thinking Society to promote skeptical activism. They have gone on to promote several skeptical causes, including campaigning against the use of alternative treatments on the NHS.
He has made several television programmes and his books include: Fermat's Last Theorem, The Big Bang, and The Simpsons And Their Mathematical Secrets.
