Skepticamp
5/3/19
Skepticamp is an event format that anyone can use. There is usually a Skepticamp the day before QEDCon starts. This is a 10 minute talk with a 5 minute Q&A. It usually uses the Pecha Kucha presentation method which has a slide change every 20 seconds - regardless of the presenter's place in the talk.
This method ensures that the time limit format is strictly adhered to but has the consequence of removing the control of slide advancement from the presenter so they have to time each segment beforehand.
Many skeptics groups put on Skepticamp events and they are a good way to introduce new speakers who may not wish to do a longer talk or may not have done a talk before to try it. If your local group is holding such an event why not think of a topic and get involved?
