Skeptics In The Pub

Skeptics in the Pub is a name given to informal social events held worldwide designed to promote networking and discussion for skeptics, rationalists, and the wider science community. The earliest SITP was founded in London by Scott Campbell in 1999. Edinburgh Skeptics is proud to be part of this wider community.
Anybody can set up a SITP group - it is not a protected term. All that's required is a passion for the subject, some baller organisational skills, and some ideas. Speaking events are a popular concept for meetings and there is a huge pool of interesting and insightful topics to be covered.
If you're interested in finding a group near you or starting one up yourselves there are lots of resources on the internet. You can also prod us for help and we'll give you some pointers to get started.
